Curriculum

These resources are designed for Levels 5 and 6 of the Victorian Curriculum F-10 (V2.0). The primary focus is on Humanities (History and Geography) with secondary links to Design and Technologies. Through this immersive site visit of a familiar landmark, students engage deeply with the aims of the humanities curriculum, developing their knowledge and understanding of people’s interconnections with each other, and with the natural and built environment, while also strengthening the skills required to question, interpret, evaluate and communicate their ideas.

The site visit is facilitated by by the traditional owners, the history and perspectives of the Wurundjeri Woi-Wurrung are central to the content, and a number of 8-Ways Aboriginal pedagogies are used to deeply and creatively engage students in their learning.
